We believe educated people make better patients with better outcomes. It’s only a matter of time until everyone comes into contact with the medical world. Let us help you get your bearings before you reach that point!

Magnesium is a mineral used in several different areas of your body. It plays a key role in cellular energy production, regulates muscle and nerve function, aids in bowel movements, and comprises much of bones and teeth.

In addition to all of that, magnesium has been shown to be effective in treating cardiovascular issues, diabetes, migraines, asthma and muscle cramps. It neutralizes acids (commonly in medications) and replaces depletions caused by other medications.

More an more doctors and public medical sources are seeing the benefits of magnesium supplementation.

“One of the most important minerals is one that most of us aren’t paying attention to – and around half of the population is lacking. Magnesium is key for heart health, sleep, and keeping stress at bay and muscles healthy.” -Men’s Journal, January 2014

“It is a common idea that researchers are beginning to pay more attention to magnesium levels for cardiovascular health,” says Dr. Liana Del Gobbo, of the Harvard School of Public Health. Del Gobbo recently published a study showing that having more magnesium in the diet can cut overall heart risk (including heart attack and stroke) by up to 22 percent. “Dietary cholesterol has been overemphasized as the main heart health concern,” she says, adding that a magnesium test should be part of the prevention.

Magnesium is most commonly supplemented in a salt form to improve bio-availability (how much your body can actually utilize). It works… but it’s not the best form.

Magnesium aspartate, chloride, lactate, citrate and glycinate each have bio-availability four (4) times greater than the oxide form and are equivalent to each other per amount of magnesium, though not in price.” – wikipedia

As with all of our products, our MAG Essentials are the MOST bio-available form on the market. MAG essentials combines the malate, citrate and glycinate forms to provide as absorbable magnesium as possible per capsule.
