This PubMed study looked at the relationship of low vitamin D and adiosity (fat) in Hispanics and African American’s (minority populations). The population included 917 Hispanics and 439 African American’s. The adipose tissue and Vitamin D was measured initially and then again 5 years later. Low vitamin D was still associated with increased fat and had not changed in 5 years.
