Last week we discussed the first goal to prevent aging skin: Boost Cell Turnover. Today, we are going cover Goal #2: Decrease Free Radicals.

Decreasing Free Radicals:

Free Radicals are factors in our environment that affect our skin. Elements like smoking and sun exposure can increase free radicals, therefore damaging our collagen. We already know that collagen is what we need to keep our skin tight, bright, and firm.

So how do we decrease free radical damage? Answer: Antioxidants.

Antioxidants provide that extra protection our skin needs from harsh environmental factors. Antioxidants include the following:

  • Vitamin E
  • Vitamin C
  • Ferulic Acid
  • Superoxide Dismutase
  • Green Tea
  • Pineapple Extract
  • Caviar Extract

If we are able to provide our skin, especially directly, with products that contain the above ingredients, we will be able to give our skin the protection it needs. Any of Rx SKIN THERAPY’s Rebuilding Day Creams and even their Arnica Facial cleanser contain these essential antioxidants. The Restoring Day Creams, which come in three different formulas, contain a powerhouse of antioxidants that include: Ferulic Acid, Green Tea Extract, and Vitamin E. If you are looking to really decrease free radical damage, don’t forget to include the Restoring Night Cream to your regimen for an extra dose of antioxidants. Also, the Invigorating Facial Scrub and Hydrating Facial Masque contain fruit extracts & caviar extract.
