The safety of NSAIDS is highly controversial, particularly in persons with coronary heart disease.  In patients recently hospitalized for serious coronary heart disease, naproxen had better cardiovascular safety than did diclofenac, ibuprofen, and higher doses of celecoxib and rofecoxib.
