Red Yeast Rice Differences in Manufacturing-NO CITRININ FORMATION posted on August 18, 2014 Citrininred yeast rice Share this Post Share on Twitter Share on Facebook Share on Google Plus August 18, 2014 Did you know that not all forms of Red Yeast Rice are the same. It is important to know how the Red Yeast Rice you are taking is manufactured. If the process of culturing red yeast rice is not carefully controlled, a substance called citrinin can form. Citrinin has been shown to cause kidney failure in experimental animals and genetic damage in human cells. In a 2011 analysis of red yeast rice products sold as dietary supplements, 4 of 11 products were found to contain this contaminant. Our Red Yeast Rice is organically grown and processed and therefore does NOT metabolize to citrinin. Our product is the quality you expect from us.
