We loved our previous formula for many years. However, as its cost continued to rise, we decided to pivot to a formula that is just as established, but offers a better clinical and financial "bang for your buck." You get the exact same immune benefits while keeping the price fair and accessible for your daily routine.
2. Does this violate Joe's rule about Ascorbic Acid?
Absolutely not. Joe taught us to avoid acidic Vitamin C and to only use pH-neutral L-Ascorbate. Yes, the new label shows "Ascorbic Acid" and "Mineral Carbonates."
Here is the magic: When you add this powder to water, it instantly reacts (you will see it fizz!). That reaction converts the ascorbic acid into the exact same pH-neutral L-Ascorbate that Joe always recommended. The chemistry just happens fresh in your glass rather than at the manufacturing facility. It is entirely pH-neutral and gentle on your kidneys.
3. Why add Lemon Flavor and Stevia?
High-dose mineral ascorbates can naturally taste a bit chalky and tart. To ensure this is a refreshing drink you’ll actually look forward to taking every day, the formula uses a light, 100% natural lemon flavor and a touch of Stevia (a natural, zero-sugar plant extract) so there are no harmful sugars added, and absolutely NO artificial flavors.
4. Why a scoop instead of a teaspoon?
Because this formula is highly concentrated, a standard kitchen teaspoon is no longer accurate enough. The included clinical scoop ensures you get the exact, safe dose every time. Important Note On Replacement Dosing:
The scoop in the product is larger (in grams) than a teaspoon. Because of this and the higher concentration of each of the ingredients, you should not match your new product to the teaspoon dosing of the former product. One rounded teaspoon of the older formula was 1,800 mg of Vitamin C. The new scoop provides 2,350 mg. As an example, for an individualized target of 3500mg, use one and one-half scoops rather than the two teaspoons you're used to.
