Grapefruit and Weight Loss

Eating grapefruit or drinking grapefruit juice may help prevent weight gain and increase insulin sensitivity.  The study done showed grapefruit juice lowered blood glucose to the same degree as metformin, meaing a natural fruit drink had levels of effectiveness as a prescription drug.  Results in mice also showed less weight gain when fed high fat meals and given diltuted grapefruit juice.
