Erectile Dysfunction-An Overview posted on March 6, 2015 EDerectile dysfunctionmale hormonestestosterone Share this Post Share on Twitter Share on Facebook Share on Google Plus March 6, 2015 In this weeks Livestream, Joe gives an overview of Erectile Dysfunction (ED). His focus was on the following points: Hormonal Vascular Distress Stress Hormones Blood Flow Lifestyle Medications The main take away message is that ED is caused by a combination of these above issues, not one of them. So instead of saying “I am on High Blood Pressure medications, so I will automatically have problems”, you can offset some of these issues by addressing the other points. (Example here was a change in lifestyle, i.e. decrease in alcohol consumption, fat intake and weight loss.) Interesting facts from this Livestream: Hormone Level consists of Testosterone, Free Testosterone, Estradiol and Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG) Males 40-45 years of age have a 40% increase of SHBG which does not let Testosterone become available for use. Testing only Testosterone levels may not be an accurate diagnosis if the SHBG is high. Testosterone doe NOT induce heart disease, in fact actually the opposite. Remember that supplementation, proper diet and exercise can all help ED.
