They have antitumerogenic properties. They inhibited cellular proliferation (spread), apoptosis (cell suicide) and cell cycle arrest in colorectal cancer cell lines. These effects were enhanced when treatments were combined. The two agents are actually effecting change at a stem cell level, which is remarkable.
