The Gamma rays from Hiroshima and Nagasaki are considered to have biological efficiencies equal to those of other low-LET radiations including mammogram X-rays.  Both the data available in the literature and the results of this study strongly suggest and increase in the carcinogenesis in animals, neoplastic cell transformation with decreasing photon energy such as those with mammography.
